Academic editing

Discipline-specific manuscripts

I specialise in academic editing, and have edited monographs and multi-author volumes over a range of disciplines, including:

              • medicine
              • law
              • anthropology
              • English literature
              • history
              • environmental science
              • veterinary medicine.

Citation style

I edit book manuscripts and postgraduate thesis manuscripts to conform to many citation styles, such as:

              • APA
              • AGLC (Australian Guide to Legal Citation)
              • AGPS (Australian Government Style Manual)
              • Chicago
              • Harvard
              • MLA
              • Vancouver/PubMed/NLM.

Other kinds of academic editing

For manuscripts that either do not need to conform to a specific citation style or do not need to meet specific disciplinary requirements, my editing process involves ensuring that:

              • the manuscript is internally consistent
              • the manuscript meets any specific requests from the author and/or publisher.

My editing ethos

I believe that editing is a two-way process between you (the author) and me (the editor). Throughout the editing process, I will remain in regular contact with you and will be available to answer any of your queries or concerns.
